I'm the type of person who's not that conscious with my health. I just eat and drink what I want. But as my aunt got diagnosed with breast cancer, and as the one who accompanies her while recovering, I started researching for healthy vegetables and fruits for her diet. Then I found Malunggay.
Here's what I've learned and I'm quite amazed!
Scientific research confirms that these little green leaves were actually filled with nutrients.
Let's make a list of comparisons so it would be easy for us to understand how healthy these leaves are.
I love milk, especially when it's really very very cold.
Well I could't compare it when it comes to taste.

Based in the research conducted by Philippine Coconut Authority on 2009, here is the estimated quantity of macro and micro nutrients from 10-100kg of dried Malunggay leaves.

In terms of macronutrients, potassium (K) is highest in malunggay stalks. In fact, for every 10kg of dried malunggay stalks, there are 293 g of potassium. Other macronutrients present are calcium (191g/10kg), nitrogen (185g/10kg), chloride (65g/10kg), sulphur (45 g/10kg), magnesium (23g/10kg), phosporus (19 g/10kg), and sodium (7g/10kg).
I will research later on how am I going to include this on my recipes....
